i dont get it, people are soo open to bash around here. i am perfectly aware of ash's history and understand the complaints, but when you think about it ash is basically building many peoples z's all across the country part by part through the mail single handedly. i could only imagine what it would be like to run an entire business, from the books, to the phones and emails, to the actual fabrication would actually be like. there simply isnt enough hours in a day to produce the products he does, on anything but a case by case timetable. i would take it that ordering from ash is under the condition that when he is able to in essence fab a product for you/your car specifically it gets to you when he is actually able to. it seems everybody wants top notch custom, backed products but wants it shipped same day. ash im sure, to many peoples opposing view is doing what most people should, taking pride in the products/work they produce, people can argue that any good "businessman' would expand to meet demand but how would deliver the product as intended without building it himself.
you know ash is one man operation, you want his products because they are of quality, and that if you want quality you often have to wait for it, custom anything doesn't ship next day air. take it or leave it.
i knew a guy who waited over a year for his car to be built by a z shop, over a year never complained, just waited. the difference between that shop and ash is as soon as blood is drawn from ash people just have to comment and bash. i thought this type of childish bashing was past me when i left high school.
if there is one thing i have learned from buying custom products, and that is if you want custom/specialty parts or products you get it when you get it. people wait years for a ferrari on order, if a customer went to maranello to follow up his order im sure enzo would have spit on his shoe and sold off his work order. here we bitch and moan like children, when we dont get what we want.
